Character info
Some notes here about teen!Izaya. Mostly quick facts, but also some headcanon, especially in reference to differences with adult!Izaya.
There was nothing particularly noticeable about Orihara Izaya as he grew up. He got good grades, he was an accomplished athlete, and he was popular with girls - but he kept to himself. He was neither hated nor loved, described by his classmates as "kind of like an alien, but a nice fellow".
Everything changed when he started middle school. After starting a biology club with Kishitani Shinra, he used the biology room as a meeting spot for a group of baseball gamblers during the summer vacation. While this was still fairly innocent, before the summer vacation was over, Shinra had been stabbed, and Izaya, after fleeing the scene of the crime, eventually turned himself in. (Feel free to have your character know this, if they have access to police records.)
Things have only gone downhill from there. The school is Izaya's playground, and he gets up to all sorts of trouble - though no one has been able to pin anything on him since that stabbing. Izaya likes to observe people in all sorts of situations, and feels no shame in creating a particular situation if he wants to see people's reaction to it. Everything from running another gambling ring (under an alias this time) to provoking fights - if he's in the mood for it, he does it. He has many female 'followers' who worship him, and he uses them at his leisure.
Unless otherwise noted, Izaya is seventeen years old. (This haseverything nothing to do with Renai Circulation. >_> ) If you'd like him at another age for any reason, please let me know.
At seventeen, Izaya is not yet collaborating with Awakusu-kai. Should you want to throw an Awakusu-kai muse at him (I would love you forever), feel free to assume he is eighteen years old and just started working for you.
At this age, I imagine that Izaya is not yet accomplished in parkour. He is, however, an extremely fast runner. There is only one person in his school who can catch him once he gets going.
Izaya always carries a knife, and he knows how to handle himself in a fight. That said, he will rarely attack; he much prefers to provoke a fight, and see when the other snaps.
While Izaya is interested in humanity everywhere, I suspect that, at this time, he focuses the majority of his attention on the people in his school. After all, if you spend your days at a buffet, why would you still bother getting takeout?
I don't think that teen!Izaya is as obsessed with death (or, rather: with staying alive) and the supernatural just yet. That said, he's met Celty, and heard a thing or two from Shinra over the years, so he does know something.
